Dr. Chen is deeply involved in advancing eye care. She has participated in several FDA clinical trials for devices and drugs, including myopia control and anterior ocular diseases like dry eye and crosslinking, serving as a principal investigator. She also works as a medical director to conduct eye products R&D.
Dr. Chen graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2010 with a Doctor of Optometry degree (Beta Sigma Kappa honors).
Prior to that, she earned a PhD from the University of Alcalá de Henares in Spain and had already completed a medical degree and a Master’s degree in China.
She holds active licenses with the California and Texas Boards of Optometry and holds Clinical Investigator Certification (CIC & GCP).
Doctor of Optometry degree at SCCO. He was extra nerdy and graduated summa cum laude which made his mom very proud. Undergrad was at UCLA with a full-ride scholarship (Regents/Alumni/+12 others) so he actually made money going to school. Scleral lens society. Dr. Chen is highly active in professional societies. She has served as a board member and treasurer of the International Society of Dacryology and is a founder member of the Tear Film Association.
Currently, she serves as a board member and VP of ANACEP (Alliance North American Chinese Eye Care Professionals) and also the VP of IAOI (International Alliance of Ophthalmic Innovation).
She has more than 60 publications in leading vision science SCI journals.
She is the author of 10 medical books and holds 2 patents in vision science.
She has received multiple awards as an eye health care professional in recognition of her contributions to the field.
Dr. Chen's expertise spans the globe, having established several successful private clinics across the USA and China. Her work in clinical trials places her at the forefront of modern optometry.
She has successfully founded several private clinics in both the USA and China.
As a principal investigator, she participates in several FDA clinical trials concerning devices and drugs that target myopia control and anterior ocular diseases like dry eye, crosslinking, and inflammation.
